Quad Stage
Welcome to Quad Stage! We are at the southeast end of the Quad, facing northward
toward the Karma Dome! We present musical acts, keynote speakers and informative emceeing!
Friday times are 12 noon to 1pm, then 5pm to 10pm.
Saturday time is 10am to 10pm, and Sunday is 10am to 6pm.
Join us for the Opening Ceremony just before noon Friday, and the Closing Ceremony 5-6pm Sunday!

THANK YOU AGAIN … to Joey Wisgirda of Awakening Productions, and Rick Stansby and Jeremy Phillips of Round Sound for the fine sound systems at Quad, Cedar and DJ stages! Our 3 stage crews welcome sound engineers Rick Stansby, Jeremy Phillips, Flint Smith, Kevin Windrem, Joey Wisgirda, Shawn Peters, and their assistants! Quad and Cedar stages also welcome and thank our emcees, Christian Farr, Shannon Harney, David Kupfer, “Armitage Shankz” and Diane Wenslawski!

DJ Pit
Come to this stage behind and below Wellman Hall to hear a wide range of beats mixed, blended and remixed Live by various DJ's.
Fed by a massive soundsystem, the dancefloor at this stage will ignite into an energetic frenzy when the sun goes down, accompanied by 
Firedancers and a Live Painting & Art Display. You won't want to miss any of it.

 

Soular Dance Stage
Welcome to the Soular Dance Stage! We are pleased to announce that this stage is completely powered by solar energy.
Come hang out and relax in the shade of the redwood trees on Wellman lawn and watch dance and drumming from many different cultures.
We hope you enjoy the space and have a great time at the festival!
 Art Space
Centered around a beautiful three dimensional mandala located at the heart
of the festival, check out this years collection of sustainalovable art by
local artists, including Jeff Wooten, Krissy Mahan, Pxl Ated, Kirsten Young,
and others. Also, observe additional creations unfold throughout the weekend
by painters located in the center art space as well as the DJ pit. Clay
Chollar and Gabe Shaugnessy will be painting at the DJ pit Friday from 5
-10pm, Saturday  3 -10pm, and in the center art space Hailey Clarke and
Maricela Alvarez will be painting during the day on Friday, Saturday, &
Sunday


Maricela Alvarez
Maricela's artwork offers the experience of a daring and unique combination
of social commentary, eroticism, and a celebration of life rooted in nature,
evolution and growth. Challenging stereotypes with vibrant colors and the
profusion of intricate lines and forms, her message is an emotional and
intellectually grounded call for the embracement of life in all its forms.

Clay Chollar
Clay Chollar Loves to do Live Art & Bodypainting at events & Festivals, Clay
paints just about anything, transforming it into a work of Art. He also
Paints custom clothing, makes Videos, Dj's his own music and is working on a
full multimedia experience of original Art & Music! Check out some of his

Gabe Shaughnessy
 Gabe will be creating The Mechanical Garden, a performance painting that
builds a story around humans, technology and nature using traditional mural
painting techniques alongside digital projection. Gabe Shaughnessy is an
artist, illustrator and web designer who lives in Portland, Oregon. You can
view his work at gabesimagination.com.

Hailey Malaika O. Clarke grew up in Southern California and has an art
degree from UCSC. Interested in the healing aspects of art, she plans to
study art therapy in grad school, and encourages all to discover the artist
within. She currently resides in San Francisco. You can see samples of her

Hands On Crafts
Come to Hands on Crafts to learn some easy projects you can do with natural and reused materials. Activities are open to crafters of all skill levels, even if you think you can’t draw a straight line to save your soul. We’ll be crafting it up all weekend long in the Heart of the Festival, so come check it out!


Kids Space/ Kids Dome
Witness the fun!  Witness the love!  Witness the magic of the Whole Earth Festival's KidSpace!
 This area, located on Wellman Lawn in front of Soular Dance Stage, welcomes children of all ages, as well as anyone with a playful spirit!  
Please be aware that Kids Space is not a babysitting service; rather, children and their parents are encouraged to come and enjoy the activities together!
Keep an eye out for the storytelling Tipi!

 

Experiential Space
Experiential Space is the place at the festival where you will be inspired to dream of and ponder the many wonders of yourself and our world. Come participate in workshops and listen to speakers that challenge paradigms and create discussion.


Parades & Drum Circles
Everyone loves a parade! There will be parades scheduled throughout the weekend.  Come join us! There is also a drum circle on the West Quad consistently beating throughout the weekend. Tune your ears to the sounds of the WEF drums!
Promethean Stage
When the sun sets over WEF, watch as the Soular Stage transforms into the hot and fiery Promethean Stage! An exciting line up of talented fire performers from near and far will delight the crowds with their pyrotehcnic feats Friday and Saturday night 8-10pm. Come have your most primitive human instincts dazzled and amazed!
On Friday come out to see Fire University, Obsidian Butterfly, Controlled Burn, Flux and Kinetica light up the night.
On Saturday, watch Fire University, Temple of Poi, Solar Flare, Pyrotion, Poki & Vulcan.
